Receiving discounts under the bonus program is more difficult than simply presenting a card. After carefully reading the Offer, hopes for a “freebie” noticeably dim (they will completely disappear later, during purchases), but there is no catch in the conditions.

Things are much more interesting with the program partners. Typically, advertising reports the maximum possible discounts, but does not say anything about which specific products these discounts apply to. It is also customary to remain modestly silent about other obstacles and restrictions.

Can the Motz Card be considered a profitable service? When purchasing a promotional product with a card, the winnings are obvious. Taking into account the bonus program - even more so. But you can only evaluate the real benefit yourself by comparing specific amounts.

On November 18, 2014 BELKART introduced a new loyalty program “Motsnaya Card”. As BELKART director Alexander Sotnikov noted, the state has been making significant efforts in recent years to increase the level of non-cash payments.

“However, if there is only one “stick” in the form of significant regulatory changes, it will be very difficult to gain trust, so there must also be a “carrot” in the form of a cost-effective motivation for market participants to preferentially use non-cash payments.”,” emphasized the director of BELKART.

The “Motsnaya Card” program is intended to become such a carrot. Both trade and service enterprises and banks can participate in the program.

The loyalty program implies that by paying with a card issued by a bank participating in the program, you can receive a discount from retail and service facilities participating in the same program.

Among the first: AXIS, Belorusneft gas station chain, Belwest, Black Red White furniture store chain, Buslik stores, Vitalur retail chain, GUM, KRAVT, LODE, Mila chain of stores, OMA, chain of stores " Native side" and some others.

Negotiations are still underway with some large retail chains, but Motsnaya Kart is open to everyone.

Interestingly, discount programs are already in effect in many of these retail chains. For example, in Vitalur the discount still reaches 5%. The only bank that is currently participating in the program is Belinvestbank. As Alexander Sotnikov stated, participation agreements have already been concluded with BPS-Sberbank And Technobank. Two more Belarusian banks are at the stage of concluding agreements.

Perhaps the next bank that takes part in the loyalty program will be able to offer a link to a deposit or the “Motsnykh” savings function cards. Then, most likely, the market is behind him.



In the meantime, Belinvestbank plans to issue about 100 thousand new cards per year. As part of salary projects, cards are supposed to be issued free of charge. When ordering through Internet banking, the cost of issuing and servicing a “Motsnaya Card” for 5 years will be 40 thousand. For a person “from the street” it will cost 50 thousand.

As promised, today I will describe my experience of purchasing goods in Motsnai Kartki partner stores. After all, having accumulated a significant amount of points, you need to use them.


I’ll say right away that figuring out what and how was quite simple! There are points. They offer discounts. But mainly it concerns food delivery. But I wanted something inedible.

After looking through the entire list of partners (it is quite impressive), I chose the gift store. Moreover, I had a long-standing dream - to try out a thermal mug.

Don't let my nickname mislead you. Even though I call myself “ Guest from sunny Khayastan“, but I didn’t “come down from the mountains” yesterday. In a word, I follow the progress and innovations in technology. But such an invention as a thermal mug passed me by.

So I decided to test this hitherto unknown know-how.



Having received the purchase code, I wrote it down in my notebook.

And here it is, the first discovery!

I had barely placed my order when my phone rang. I couldn’t even think that this call was related to my order.

After that, the stranger introduced himself and said that he was from Motsnai Karta. I also asked if the online store had called me yet.

Explaining that not even five minutes had passed since placing the order, I answered in the negative.

The stern voice of the Motsnaya Karta representative grumbled that the order was being processed for too long, apologized for his colleagues and promised to hurry up the gift shop. I'll be honest: “I have never seen such service anywhere!”

I caught myself thinking that this kind of service is probably what distinguishes a quality service from an ordinary one. And our people are built in such a way that they are even willing to overpay for quality service. After all, not only do I receive goods at a discount, but also entire divisions of large companies improve their already high-quality service :)

A maximum of 10 minutes passed and my phone rang again. This time, a pleasant female voice clarified my details, whether I ordered a thermal mug and the time when it would be convenient for me to accept the order. Then for several minutes we tried to find the most optimal option for me to meet the courier. To be honest, there were enough of these options, but I wanted to prolong the situation a little in which you feel that you are a CLIENT who is always right and valuable to the seller.

But, unfortunately, certain agreements were gradually reached :) We planned a meeting with the courier for the evening.

After about 30 minutes, a stern, but fair, male voice sounded again in the handset of my mobile phone. He asked if they had contacted me about the delivery of the goods, and whether I was satisfied with everything in the conversation with the seller. At the end, apologizing for the fact that it took so long to process the application, the voice wished me a pleasant evening and said goodbye.

In the evening, after the courier brought me a thermal mug, I was able to begin diagnosing this wonderful invention. I must note that a very intelligent person came up with it :)

Over the past few years, serious work has been carried out in Belarus to transfer all payments to non-cash rails. Previously, it was customary to act with a “stick”, but today in Minsk they presented a “carrot”. Belkart launched a special republican loyalty program “Motsnaya Card”.

According to experts, everything works simply: you come with a new card to a retail outlet that participates in the program, buy goods, and receive a discount. The discount is provided automatically by reading the barcode on the back of the plastic.

- When forming the concept of building our loyalty program, we took into account both global experience and national characteristics of the retail market and payment ecosystem,- says Belkart director Alexander Sotnikov. - The pool of trading enterprises is formed in such a way that the program includes representatives of each developed segment of the Belarusian trade and services market. At the same time, Belarusian brands enjoy certain preferences. The key difference between our loyalty program is the fact that the main audience is salary card holders. This is a fairly serious entry into the market, because we will provide “Motsny cards” according to a knurled pattern and a large number of holders. The second point is that this card combines a discount and bonus system.

“Motsnaya Card,” according to Sotnikov, is a multi-bank and multi-brand program. Any Belarusian banks and trade organizations can join it. The program will work only within the national payment system. Within the framework of a co-branded card (for example, Belkart-Maestro, like Belinvestbank, which was the first to join the program), discounts and bonuses will also work.

As of November 5, 17 players were involved in Motsnay Kart. Among them are Axis, Apteka Group, Belorusneft, Belwest, Buslik, Vitalur, GUM, Kravt, Lode, Mila, Oma, Rodnaya Storona, Lescal ", "Westerly". The current list and amounts of discounts can be viewed on the loyalty program website www.bestcard.by. Other large retail chains are expected to join in the near future. The plans, according to representatives of ProfMarketSystem (the developer of the program), include the development of functionality and new services, including “the use of mobile devices and social networks to receive discounts.”

A bonus program will be launched in December. For every 100,000 rubles spent, you will be awarded a point, and then the points can be exchanged for discounts.

Deputy Chairman of the National Bank Sergei Dubkov spoke about some innovations. In Belarus, it is planned to make it mandatory to activate the SMS notification service for payment card holders (you can refuse the service if you wish). But the paper check card, which is now issued in stores, will no longer be mandatory. Banks will also be required to comply with the principle of zero liability for plastic owners.
